A Stretcher Bond is Also called as Running Bond

• In that bond, all the bricks do lay as stretchers on that faces of walls.
• This pattern is used only to half brick thick walls i.e. 9cm, so while partition walls, sleeper walls, division walls either chimney stacks.
• This bond is not possible if the thickness of the wall is more.

Header Bond

• It is that bond in which everyone the bricks are laid as headers on these faces of walls.
• The pattern does use only if the thickness of the wall is complete brick i.e. 19 cm.

• This bond normally suitable in case of curved walls but is not preferred for straight walls while it does non have strength in the direction about the wall.

English Bond

• This is that most commonly related bond, for all wall thicknesses. This bond does consider to do the strongest.
• This bond consists of alternative courses of headers also stretchers.
• To break vertical joints in the successive courses, it is essential to place the queen closer after the first header quoin header in any heading course.

Flemish Bond

• In the type of bond, every course does comprise of alternate headers also stretchers.
